Koke Stone

Koke Stone — 'koke' meaning moss in Japanese — is a natural stone selected for its inherently weathered, moss-ready surface texture. The greenish-grey to dark grey colouration mimics stones found in shaded mountain streams and forest floors, giving aquascapes an immediately aged and natural appearance without requiring extended growing time for surface colonisation.

The rough surface absorbs and retains moisture, which encourages rapid moss attachment. When tied with cotton thread or spotted with tissue culture glue, mosses begin visually integrating into Koke Stone's surface within weeks, creating the impression of a stone that has rested in a mossy stream for years. It works equally well as a standalone moss rock or as part of a larger stone grouping.

Koke Stone is pH neutral and chemically inert, making it a low-maintenance, universally compatible hardscape material for any freshwater aquarium.
