Lagenandra gomezii 'Red'

Lagenandra gomezii 'Red' is a vivid cultivar selected for its outstanding burgundy-red to deep crimson leaf colouration. Native to Sri Lanka, Lagenandra gomezii in its standard form already displays attractive colouration, but this red form pushes the pigmentation to a dramatic extreme. The broad, glossy leaves are held on firm petioles and can reach a substantial size in good conditions. Strong iron supplementation and moderate to bright lighting are required to sustain the deepest red tones. It performs well both fully submerged and in emersed culture in paludariums. An extraordinary specimen plant for aquascapers who want maximum colour impact.
