Large Powerhead 4000L/h

The Large Powerhead 4000L/h is a high-output circulation pump for very large aquariums and semi-commercial applications, delivering 4000 litres per hour of directed flow that maintains thorough circulation in tanks from 400 litres upward. It is the powerhead of choice for large African cichlid displays, oversized planted Dutch-style tanks, large public display aquariums, and any setup where a smaller powerhead simply cannot move the water volume fast enough.

The high-output motor is designed for continuous operation and is housed in a robust casing with a wide inlet diameter and powerful impeller. At 4000L/h, even very long or deep tanks can be circulated effectively with a single unit, though two units positioned for opposing cross-circulation is the professional approach for tanks over 600 litres.

Many models in this class include programmable pulse or wave functions that vary output periodically to simulate natural lake wave action — particularly valued in Malawi and Tanganyikan biotope setups. An integrated pre-filter sponge protects larger fish from impeller contact and keeps the motor free of debris.
