LED Breeding Tank Light Clip

Lighting in a breeding tank serves a different purpose than in a display aquarium. Overly bright, high-intensity lighting can stress gravid females and deter spawning in species that prefer the dimly lit conditions of forest streams or heavily planted habitats. The LED Breeding Tank Light Clip provides soft, full-spectrum illumination at a light intensity calibrated specifically for breeding environments.

The clip mount allows attachment to tanks from 15cm to 40cm wide without drilling or modification. The full-spectrum output at 6500K provides natural colour rendering that allows the breeder to observe fish colouration, monitor egg development, and assess the health of fry without the harsh glare of standard aquarium lighting. The low power draw (typically 5–8W) also produces minimal heat, which is important in small-volume breeding tanks where temperature stability is critical.
