Glass lily pipe inlets are a premium alternative to standard plastic filter strainers, prized in the planted aquarium hobby for their near-invisible appearance and the gentle, non-turbulent intake flow they create. The curved bell mouth draws water in slowly across a wide aperture, preventing the high-velocity suction of a narrow strainer that can damage plant leaves, shrimp, and small fish. The borosilicate glass construction is completely inert, will not discolour over time, and is easy to clean by soaking in a citric acid solution to remove mineral deposits. Compatible with 13mm inner diameter filter hoses on most compact canister filters.
