The Longfin Rosy Barb is a captive-bred variety of Pethia conchonius in which a genetic mutation produces greatly elongated dorsal, anal, pectoral, and caudal fins. Males still develop the full pink-red breeding colour. The elongated fins require slightly calmer water flow than the standard form and make them unsuitable with fin-nipping species. All other care requirements are identical.
