Marina Floating Breeder Trap

The Marina Floating Breeder Trap is a widely trusted solution for protecting livebearer fry such as guppies, mollies, platies, and swordtails from being consumed by adults — including their own mother — immediately after birth. The pregnant female is placed inside the trap, and as she gives birth the fry naturally sink or swim through a V-shaped internal divider into the protected lower chamber where they are out of reach. Two-stage construction ensures the mother can be returned to the main tank once birthing is complete, leaving fry to be raised safely. Floats within the main aquarium, so fry are maintained at the correct water temperature without a separate setup.
