The Medium Powerhead 2000L/h is suited to larger aquariums from 150 to 400 litres where a smaller powerhead would fail to provide adequate whole-tank circulation. At 2000L/h, it delivers the high turnover rate preferred for African cichlid biotopes, large planted tanks with demanding circulation requirements, and heavily stocked community setups where consistent oxygenation and waste suspension are important.

The more powerful motor is housed in a larger body with a wider inlet and outlet diameter, allowing it to move greater volumes of water without the backpressure limitations of small powerhead impellers. Adjustable directional nozzles allow the outflow to be aimed and swept to create circulation patterns that match the tank's dimensions and decor layout.

At this output level, the powerhead is a significant source of water movement that can complement or replace a secondary filter for circulation purposes in large displays. Many models include an integrated surface skimmer attachment option and adjustable flow reduction for fine-tuning current intensity in mixed species tanks.
