Mixed coloured aquarium gravel combines multiple pigmented pebble tones — typically including red, blue, yellow, green, and white — into a single cheerful substrate blend that is particularly popular for children's first aquariums and brightly themed freshwater displays. Each pebble is coated with aquarium-safe, non-toxic pigment applied over rounded natural gravel.

The medium grain size promotes easy maintenance, with a standard gravel vacuum quickly removing waste from between the pebbles during routine water changes. Coloured gravel is compatible with all standard plastic and silk plant decorations, and can be used alongside ornamental resin decor for a complete themed tank presentation.
