Moon Light LED Bar 30cm

The Moon Light LED Bar 30cm replicates the subtle blue illumination of moonlight on a natural body of water. Running at just 2W, it is too dim to trigger photosynthesis or disrupt the aquarium's photoperiod but bright enough to observe fish behaviour, nocturnal invertebrate activity, and courtship displays after the main lights have shut off.

For breeding cichlids, catfish, and invertebrates, consistent nocturnal lighting at the correct wavelength is known to support natural reproductive cycles. The 450nm deep blue spectrum closely matches the lunar blue shift that many tropical fish are attuned to in the wild.

The bar installs inside the hood or along the rim and is typically controlled by a secondary timer set to run for several hours after the main photoperiod ends.
