Natural Quartz Gravel (5kg)

Natural quartz gravel provides the ideal compromise between fine sand and coarse pebble substrates. Its smooth-edged 2–4 mm particles allow excellent water circulation through the substrate bed while still being gentle enough for moderately sensitive species. The pale off-white tone gives the aquarium a clean, bright appearance without being as stark as brilliant white substrates.

As pure silicon dioxide, quartz gravel is completely chemically inert and will not alter pH, hardness, or alkalinity. This makes it a reliable choice for tanks where precise water parameter control is important, such as shrimp setups, planted tanks, and breeding aquariums. Root tabs can be inserted easily between quartz gravel grains to support rooted plants without disrupting the substrate.
