PVC Breeding Pipe 50mm

White PVC pressure pipe sections have long been used by experienced fish breeders as simple, durable, and highly effective spawning caves for pleco species, hillstream loaches, and various cave-spawning cichlids. The smooth interior of a 50mm PVC pipe is readily accepted by many Ancistrus and Hypancistrus species as a preferred spawning site, with males taking up residence and guarding the entrance once breeding begins. PVC is completely inert in fresh water and will not alter water chemistry or leach chemicals at aquarium temperatures. Cut to desired length using a hacksaw or pipe cutter — typically 20-30cm for most pleco species. Rinse thoroughly before adding to the aquarium.
