Slate Breeding Tile 10x10cm

Natural slate tiles are one of the most effective and widely used spawning surfaces for substrate-spawning and lithophilic fish species. This 10x10cm piece provides a flat, slightly textured dark surface that species such as discus, Geophagus, Pterophyllum, and plecos instinctively select as a preferred spawning site. The natural slate surface is inert in aquarium water, does not alter pH or hardness, and will not leach any harmful substances. Lean tiles at an angle against tank walls or rockwork to replicate the natural sloping surfaces many cichlids prefer. After spawning, tiles bearing eggs can be carefully moved to a separate hatching tank for artificial incubation if required.
