Spawning Mop Green Yarn

Spawning mops are simple, effective tools for collecting eggs from egg-scattering fish such as killifish, White Cloud Mountain Minnows, and many danio species. This green yarn mop replicates the appearance and texture of fine-leafed aquatic plants, triggering spawning behaviour in species that naturally broadcast eggs among vegetation. After spawning, the mop can be removed from the tank and the eggs individually harvested or the whole mop transferred to a hatching container. The yarn is non-toxic, smooth enough not to damage eggs or adult fish, and can be rinsed and reused indefinitely. Suspend with a cork float or attach to tank wall with a clip.
