Corydoras adolfoi
Origin: Rio Negro, Brazil
Corydoras adolfoi, Adolfo's Cory, is a jewel of the cory world. Its white-silver body is set off by a vivid orange crown patch between the eyes and a single bold black spot on the dorsal fin. Endemic to the upper Rio Negro in Brazil. A schooling fish that stays active all day when in groups. One of the rarer corydoras species in the hobby; most fish are captive-bred in Czech farms. Suitable for soft, warm acidic setups alongside angels and smaller tetras.
Groups of 6+. Soft, acidic water (pH 6.0–7.0). Fine sand substrate. Temperature 24–28 °C. Feed sinking micro-pellets, frozen bloodworm, daphnia. Sensitive to salt and nitrates — pristine water quality required.
