About
Anomalochromis thomasi is a small, peaceful cichlid native to Sierra Leone and Guinea. It displays beautiful iridescent blue-green scales and is suitable for planted community aquariums. Males reach about 7 cm; females slightly smaller. A substrate spawner that forms biparental family groups.
Care Guide
Keep in pairs or small groups in a well-planted tank of at least 60 L. Provide sandy substrate, rocks, and caves. Feed varied diet of small live/frozen foods and quality flake. Water should be soft to moderately hard and slightly acidic. Peaceful with similarly sized fish.
