Amano Shrimp 3-pack

This 3-pack of Amano Shrimp (Caridina multidentata) provides the gold-standard biological algae control solution recommended by aquascapers worldwide. Originally popularised by Nature Aquarium creator Takashi Amano, these larger, more robust shrimp are relentless grazers of hair algae, thread algae, and green dust algae and are significantly more effective than smaller shrimp species at controlling problem algae. Most effective when kept in groups of three or more and performing best in well-planted, established aquariums.

Introduce to a well-cycled planted aquarium (minimum 30 L). Maintain clean water (pH 6.5–7.5, GH 6–15, temperature 18–26°C). Never use copper-based medications in the same tank. Amano Shrimp breed exclusively in brackish water — freshwater reproduction is not possible. Supplement diet with algae wafers and blanched vegetables when natural algae is limited. Safe with all peaceful community fish and planted tank invertebrates.
