About
Apistogramma viejita 'Gold' is a Colombian species less commonly available than cacatuoides or agassizii. Males develop rich golden-yellow colouration with dark lateral markings and elaborate finnage. It requires slightly softer, more acidic water than some Apistogramma. This species is particularly rewarding for experienced dwarf cichlid keepers who appreciate both its rarity and the challenge of optimal conditioning.
