Toxotes jaculatrix, the Banded Archerfish, is famous for its remarkable ability to spit jets of water to knock insects off overhanging vegetation. A fascinating biotope specimen fish that needs overhanging features and open surface space.
100 L+ tank with open surface and overhanging lid. Slightly brackish water (SG 1.002–1.006) to fully fresh. Temperature 25–30°C, pH 7.0–8.5. Feed crickets, mealworms, floating pellets. Group of 3+ reduces aggression.
