Fundulopanchax arnoldi

Fundulopanchax arnoldi is a non-annual killifish from the forests of Nigeria, first collected in the early 1900s and a long-standing favourite in the killifish hobby. Males display a beautiful combination of yellow-orange and iridescent blue-green patterning across the body and fins. It is a moderately hardy species for experienced killifish keepers, best maintained in a soft-water species tank.
Water: 22–26 °C, pH 6.0–7.5, soft water preferred. Tank: 40 L planted species tank; spawning mops; tight-fitting lid required. Feeding: Live and frozen Daphnia, Artemia; quality dried foods accepted. Behaviour: Males territorial; maintain as single male with two to three females. Compatibility: Species tank; avoid boisterous or large tankmates.
