Hara jerdoni
Origin: India, Bangladesh
Hara jerdoni, the Asian Stone Catfish or Anchor Catfish, is one of the smallest catfish in the hobby — rarely exceeding 3 cm. Its flattened body and intricate leaf-litter colouration provide near-perfect camouflage on rocks and wood. Despite its diminutive size it has a robust spined pectoral structure. An endearing nano species for planted setups; completely peaceful and harmless. Rarely seen moving during the day, it forages at night for small invertebrates. A specialist find.
Nano species tank or gentle planted community. Temperature 18–24 °C, slightly cool water preferred. Soft to medium water, slightly acidic. Feed frozen bloodworm, baby brine shrimp, and micro-worm after lights out. Flat stones and leaf litter for hiding. Sensitive to ammonia — very clean water required.
