Aspidoras belenos is an uncommon species from the upper Rio Tocantins drainage in central Brazil with a delicate translucent body and subtle spotting. It inhabits soft, clear-water streams and prefers well-maintained aquariums with similar conditions. Its scarcity in the hobby makes it particularly appealing to Aspidoras enthusiasts.

Feeding: Micro sinking foods, daphnia, cyclops, small bloodworm, and micro pellets. Behaviour: Peaceful schooling bottom dweller; keep in groups of 6+. Compatibility: Nano community species; best with small, peaceful tankmates.
