Anentome helena
Origin: Southeast Asia (Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia)
Anentome helena, the Assassin Snail, is a predatory freshwater snail from Southeast Asia used as a biological control for pest snails like Malaysian Trumpet Snails and ramshorns. It features a striking yellow-and-brown banded shell resembling a bee. Rarely breeds fast enough to become a pest itself. Safe with fish, shrimp, and plants. Pack of 5.
Introduce 5–10 assassin snails per 100 L to control pest snail populations. Feed on pest snails and will accept sinking pellets and meaty frozen foods once snail populations are controlled. Peaceful with all fish and shrimp. Hardy and easy to keep. Will breed slowly in the aquarium.
