About
Aulonocara stuartgranti, the Flavescent Peacock or Stuartgranti Peacock Cichlid, is one of the most colourful and peaceful of all Malawi cichlids. Males display brilliant yellow, blue, and orange patterning. Among the more peaceful Malawi cichlids, they can be kept in a mixed peacock and haplochromine tank. Maternal mouthbrooder.
Care Guide
Keep as a harem (1 male, 3+ females) in at least 150 L. Hard, alkaline water essential. Feed quality cichlid pellets and small frozen meaty foods. More peaceful than most Mbuna but can still be aggressive. Separate females when gravid to prevent harassment. Best in a mixed peacock tank.
