About

The Banded Coral Shrimp is an iconic marine invertebrate with a striking red and white banded body and long spiny claws. It establishes cleaning stations and removes parasites from fish. Should be kept alone or only in mated pairs as it is territorial and will fight with conspecifics.

Care Guide

Introduce only one unless purchasing a confirmed mated pair. Acclimate slowly via drip method. Provide crevices and ledges for shelter. Will pick at open wounds on fish in a symbiotic cleaning role. Sensitive to sudden salinity changes. Avoid copper medications. Feed meaty marine foods supplementally.
