Corydoras metae
Origin: Meta River, Colombia
Corydoras metae, the Bandit Cory, is an elegant species from the Meta River in Colombia. Its creamy silver body is adorned with a bold black eye mask (giving it the 'bandit' name) and a black dorsal stripe from head to tail. One of the most graceful corydoras species; highly sought by cory enthusiasts. Peaceful and active in groups; best in soft, slightly acidic water mimicking its native Meta river habitat. Suitable for planted community tanks.
Groups of 6+. Soft, slightly acidic water (pH 6.5–7.0). Fine sand substrate. Temperature 22–26 °C. Feed sinking micro-pellets, frozen bloodworm, daphnia. Sensitive to salt.
