Amphiprion barberi
Origin: Fiji, Tonga, Samoa
Amphiprion barberi, Barber's Clownfish, is a vibrant species from Fiji, Tonga, and Samoa with a bright orange-red body and a single white head bar, closely resembling the Tomato Clownfish but restricted to a smaller Pacific range. Only formally described as a separate species in 2008, adding to its appeal among species collectors.
Provide an Entacmaea quadricolor host anemone for natural behaviour. Feed a varied diet: marine pellets, mysis, enriched brine shrimp, chopped seafood. Keep as a mated pair — semi-aggressive toward other clownfish and similar fish. Captive-bred specimens preferred. Hardy and well-suited to established reef systems.
