Caridina cf. cantonensis
Also known as: Bee Shrimp Pure Line, Original Bee Shrimp
Origin: Captive bred (Japan/Taiwan lineage)
Pure Line Bee Shrimp represent an effort to maintain the ancestral black-and-white banding of the original Caridina cantonensis Bee Shrimp before extensive hybridisation with Crystal Red lines altered the hobby gene pool. These specimens display clean, classic alternating black-and-white bands without the pattern refinements of modern grades. They are kept in dedicated breeding colonies to preserve genetic integrity and are valued by collectors who appreciate Caridina history.
