About

The Belgian Red Discus is a premium captive-bred strain developed by Belgian breeders renowned for producing fish with outstanding red saturation and excellent body form suited to European water conditions. Belgium has a long tradition of discus breeding, and this strain represents the pinnacle of that craft. It requires warm, soft, clean water and benefits from regular feeding with high-protein foods.

Care Guide

Keep at 28–31°C in soft, slightly acidic water. Perform 20–30% water changes 2–3 times weekly. Feed with discus-specific granules, beef heart mix, frozen bloodworms and artemia. Keep in groups of 5+ in tanks of at least 200L. Very sensitive to water quality — use RO water or dechlorinated very soft tap water. Avoid cold drafts.
