About
Betta imbellis — the peaceful or crescent betta — is a wild species from southern Thailand and northern Malaysia that is significantly less aggressive than B. splendens. Males can often be kept together in well-planted tanks, and females can coexist with males outside of breeding periods. The vivid red crescent on the caudal fin gives the species its common name. A wonderful introduction to wild betta keeping.

pH 5.5–7.5. Soft, warm water. 60+ L planted. Can keep multiple males in 120+ L if well-planted. Feed: small live/frozen invertebrates.
