About
Betta macrostoma, the Brunei Beauty, is one of the most spectacular and sought-after wild betta species. Males have a brilliant orange and black pattern — the most vivid of all wild bettas. Paternal mouthbrooder. Endangered in the wild — all specimens are tank-bred. Pair (1M+1F).

Species tank or with small peaceful fish. 60 L+. Temperature 22–26°C (cool water), pH 5.5–7.0. Soft water essential. Blackwater conditions. Feed live and frozen micro-foods. Mouthbrooder — no disturbance during brooding.
