Betta Sorority Tank

This sorority starter pack includes five female bettas of assorted colours and fin types, selected and co-habituated to give the best chance of a stable social hierarchy. Betta sororities require at minimum 80L of heavily planted aquarium space with multiple hiding spots and line-of-sight breaks. They create a dynamic and colourful display unlike any single-betta setup.

Water: 26-30°C, pH 6.0-7.5, soft to medium hardness — stable, clean water reduces inter-female stress. Tank: minimum 80L, densely planted with multiple hiding zones; avoid open barren spaces. Feeding: carnivore — spread betta pellets across multiple areas to reduce feeding competition; twice daily. Behaviour: introduce all females simultaneously into a new, unfamiliar tank; expect initial chasing for 1-2 weeks. Compatibility: peaceful community fish such as corydoras, tetras, and snails complement a sorority well.
