Pseudanthias bicolor
Origin: Indo-Pacific
Pseudanthias bicolor is a striking anthias with a vivid yellow dorsal half contrasting with a bright pink-orange ventral half, creating one of the most eye-catching bicolour patterns in the genus. Found on current-swept outer reef walls, it requires multiple daily feedings of enriched frozen zooplankton.
Keep in a harem (1 male : 3–5 females). Feed 3–5 times daily with mysis, copepods, and enriched brine shrimp — anthias have very high metabolic demands. Provide strong flow and highly oxygenated water. Sensitive to shipping stress; acclimate carefully. Best suited to experienced marine aquarists.
