Pseudochromis bitaeniatus
Origin: Indo-Pacific
Pseudochromis bitaeniatus has a pale cream-white body adorned with two parallel yellow-orange horizontal stripes running from behind the eye to the tail base. Widely distributed and commonly captive-bred, it adapts readily to aquarium conditions. Keep only one per system to avoid territorial conflicts.
Keep as a solo dottyback per tank. Provide rock crevices and caves for shelter. Feed mysis, krill, and meaty marine foods 1–2 times daily. Semi-aggressive toward small fish — choose larger tankmates. Hardy and disease-resistant. Captive-bred specimens are strongly recommended for easier acclimatisation.
