About

The Bird Wrasse is instantly recognisable by its elongated bird-like snout used to probe crevices for small invertebrates and crustaceans. Males are deep iridescent green; females are brown and white. An active fast-swimming species requiring open swimming space and a secure lid.

Care Guide

Provide at least 300 L with open swimming space. Feed meaty marine foods: mysis, krill, chopped crustacean. Will eat small ornamental shrimp, snails, and worms. Secure lid essential — Bird Wrasse are active jumpers. Needs a sandy substrate for sleeping. Best in FOWLR or larger mixed-species reef with robust fish.
