Corydoras zygatus is a neatly patterned species from Peru and Brazil featuring a bold, unbroken black stripe running the full length of its body from snout to caudal fin. Its strong contrast between the dark stripe and pale body makes it easy to identify. A hardy, adaptable community species suitable for beginners and experienced keepers alike.
Water: 22–26°C, pH 6.0–7.2, soft to medium hardness; adaptable. Tank: 60L+, fine sand substrate, moderate flow, plants and open sandy areas. Feeding: Sinking wafers, quality pellets, frozen bloodworm, daphnia, and brine shrimp. Behaviour: Active, peaceful schooling bottom dweller; keep in groups of 6+. Compatibility: Excellent community fish with most peaceful tropical species.
