Rasbora borapetensis
Origin: Thailand, Cambodia (rivers and floodplains)
Rasbora borapetensis is an elegant and slender rasbora from the rivers and floodplains of Thailand and Cambodia, recognized by a bold black stripe running from the caudal base edged with a vivid red upper border. Rarely seen in the trade despite its attractive coloration, it is an active, fast-moving schooling fish best kept in large groups. Adaptable to a range of soft to moderately hard water conditions.
Keep in schools of 10 or more for best display. Provide open swimming space with planted edges for cover. Feed flake, micro-pellets, and small frozen foods. Hardy and adaptable — suitable for community tanks with other peaceful species. Avoid keeping with large or aggressive fish that may outcompete them at feeding.
