Wetmorella nigropinnata
Origin: Indo-Pacific
The Blackfin Possum Wrasse is a secretive small-bodied wrasse from the tropical Indo-Pacific, identifiable by its two white body stripes and black-tipped fins. Its small size and retiring nature make it ideal for nano reef aquariums. It feeds on tiny invertebrates and should be housed with similarly peaceful species.
Keep with peaceful, small-sized tankmates only. Provide ample live rock crevices for shelter. Feed mysis, copepods, and small marine pellets 2 times daily. Secure lid required. May not compete well with fast, bold feeders — target feed if necessary. Reef-safe; harmless toward corals and larger invertebrates.
