Also known as: Blackspot Cory, Black-spotted Cory
Origin: South America (Venezuela, Trinidad, Guyana)
Corydoras melanistius ranges across Venezuela, Trinidad, and the Guianas and is among the more adaptable corydoras species, tolerating a wider range of water conditions than many of its relatives. Feeding: Sinking pellets, wafers, frozen or live bloodworm and daphnia. Behaviour: Active daytime schooler; keep in groups of 6+. Compatibility: Peaceful with tetras, livebearers, small cichlids, and other community fish.
