Physa acuta
Origin: North America (widely distributed globally)
Physa acuta, the Bladder Snail, is a tiny, fast-reproducing freshwater snail often regarded as a pest but highly valuable as live food for pea puffers, dwarf puffers, assassin snails, and loaches. Easy to culture in a separate container. Excellent source of calcium-rich live food. Pack of 20 for starting a feeder colony.
Culture in a separate 20 L container. Feed algae wafer and fish flake. Breed prolifically without intervention. Feed to pea puffers, pufferfish, or assassin snails as a live food source. In a display tank they can become a pest if fish do not control them. Harmless but reproduce rapidly.
