Geosesarma sp. 'Bloody Mary' is one of the most vividly coloured vampire crab variants, displaying a deep, saturated crimson-red carapace and legs contrasted by bright, pale eyes. Like all Geosesarma vampire crabs, it is semi-terrestrial and requires a paludarium with a humid land zone and shallow water area for moulting. It is generally peaceful toward conspecifics in spacious setups and breeds readily in well-maintained paludariums.
Water: 23–28°C, pH 7.0–8.0, GH 6–15, KH 3–8; 70–80% humidity in land zone. Tank: minimum 30 L paludarium, moist soil land area, shallow water section, cork hides. Feeding: sinking pellets, fruit, vegetables, dried leaves, occasional live invertebrates. Behaviour: semi-terrestrial; active at dusk and night; males display to females. Compatibility: keep as a species tank or mixed Geosesarma group; no fish.
