About
The Blue Bolt Shrimp is a premium Caridina cantonensis variety displaying a striking combination of deep blue and white patterning. It requires soft acidic water typical of Taiwan bee shrimp and is best kept in a species-specific or Caridina-only tank. Its brilliant colouration and relative rarity make it a centrepiece shrimp for advanced hobbyists.
Care Guide
Use RO/DI water remineralised with Caridina-specific GH+ mineral. Target pH 5.8–6.8, TDS 80–130 ppm, temp 20–24 °C. Use inert aqua soil substrate. Never use tap water or KH-buffered mineral — keeps KH near 0. Feed sparingly with high-quality shrimp foods. Extremely sensitive to copper, ammonia, and medications.
