About
Ptereleotris sp. 'Blue' is an undescribed dartfish species with a uniformly vibrant cobalt-blue body and translucent blue-trimmed fins. It hovers above its burrow in small colonies and feeds on zooplankton passing in the current. Extremely peaceful and perfect for nano or mid-sized reefs.
Care Guide
Keep in groups of 3–5 for natural hovering colony behaviour. Provide sandy substrate for burrow construction. Feed mysis and copepods 2–3 times daily — dartfish are zooplankton specialists. Tight-fitting lid essential; startled dartfish jump. Peaceful with all reef fish and most invertebrates.
