Priapella compressa

Origin: Mexico (Jalisco)
Priapella compressa is found in the Río Coatzacoalcos drainage of Jalisco, Mexico. Despite being a goodeid, it superficially resembles a slender poeciliid and is a fast, active schooling livebearer. Its brilliant blue eyes are its most distinctive feature. It requires well-oxygenated, clean water and benefits from a gentle current.
Water: 22–28°C, pH 7.0–8.0, moderately hard, well-oxygenated. Tank: 60L minimum, some open swimming space and gentle current recommended. Feeding: Omnivore — flake, micro-pellets, frozen daphnia and artemia; feeds at all water levels. Behaviour: Peaceful schooling species; no significant aggression. Compatibility: Excellent with other peaceful livebearers and community fish.
