About

Chromis viridis is one of the most popular marine fish in the hobby, forming shimmering schools of iridescent blue-green fish over branching corals. Highly peaceful and ideal for community reef aquariums, adding movement and depth to any display. Their hardiness and availability make them a staple of the modern saltwater hobby.

Care Guide

Keep in groups of 7+ for impressive schooling displays. Feed marine flake, mysis, enriched brine shrimp, and spirulina twice daily. Peaceful with virtually all reef fish. Provide branching coral structures for them to hover over. Long-lived in stable conditions. Excellent dither fish and one of the most reliable reef fish available.
