The Blue Orfe (small) is a juvenile colour variant of the ide displaying a silvery-blue sheen that complements the golden orfe form beautifully in mixed pond groups. Even at this small size, juveniles are lively and already show their distinctive colouration. An eye-catching and peaceful addition to European garden ponds.
Care Guide
Requires a pond of at least 1,000L with good filtration and oxygenation. Keep in groups of 5+. Feed floating pond pellets and small insects from the surface. Cold-hardy — no heating needed. May be prey to larger fish or herons at small size. Grows quickly with good feeding.
