About

The Bluechin Triggerfish is one of the most highly regarded triggerfish for reef aquariums due to its relatively peaceful nature and stunning appearance. Males display a brilliant blue chin, yellow fin margins, and white-spotted grey body. A planktivore in the wild, it generally ignores corals and most invertebrates.

Care Guide

Provide minimum 350 L with strong flow. Feed zooplankton-based foods: mysis, krill, and marine pellets. One of the few triggerfish safe in mixed reef — avoid keeping with very small ornamental shrimp as a precaution. Keep as a solo specimen or with robust large fish. Hardy and long-lived with good care.
