About
A value 6-pack of Melanotaenia boesemani, Boeseman's Rainbowfish — the most famous of all rainbowfishes with its striking blue-purple front and vivid orange-red rear half. A school of six immediately creates a stunning display in any larger planted tank. Most vivid colour at feeding time and dawn when males display to each other. All captive-bred; the wild population is endangered.
Care Guide
Temperature 24–28 °C. Slightly hard, neutral to alkaline water. Varied diet: quality flake, spirulina, frozen bloodworm. 150+ L for this group. Excellent surface aeration. Mixed sex group for best display behaviour.
