The Boesemani Rainbowfish Red Form is a selectively bred form that intensifies the warm orange-red hues on the posterior half, complementing the classic blue-violet anterior for a stunning bicolor contrast. Originating from the Ajamaru Lakes of West Papua, this species is one of the most iconic and sought-after rainbowfish. The contrasting bicolor pattern is unmatched among freshwater fish.

Keep in groups of 6+, ideally with more females than males. Provide open swimming space with planted areas. Feed quality flakes, frozen artemia, daphnia, and small insects. Males colour up best when kept with females in moderately hard, neutral to alkaline water. Requires good filtration and regular water changes.
