Caridina cf. babaulti
Origin: Borneo
Borneo Algae Shrimp (Caridina cf. babaulti) are small undemanding shrimp from Borneo rivers valued for their algae-eating capabilities. They display a subtle greenish-grey colouration and are active throughout the day. Tolerant of a range of water conditions and a practical attractive addition to community planted tanks.
Keep in groups of 10+ in planted tanks. Adaptable to a range of water parameters — slightly more flexible than Taiwan bee shrimp. Feed algae wafers, biofilm, blanched vegetables. Avoid copper medications. Works well in community nano tanks with small peaceful fish. Breeds moderately in stable conditions.
